Classification VW Fun Cup 2009

Us here at the end of the championship of Belgium from VW Fun Cup.  There remains a race in Italy (the world cup) and the verdict for all the cars will be given.  Nevertheless, it already fell for VW two-seater Fun Cup at the time of the last race in Hockenheim.  Two-seater 360 of the TEAM exodus controlled by its usual pilots finished on more the high step of the podium.  Thanks to this so much awaited victory, the pilots of the TEAM exodus finish the season as Vice-champions of Belgium.

Day of tests in the VW Fun Cup

The next day of tests in the VW fun cup will take place on the famous circuit of Spa-Francorchamps on Wednesday November 4 next. Last possibilities to make a test on board a diesel VW fun cup for 2009.

25 hours VW Fun Cup 2009

The 25 hours VW fun cup had miles last on July 11 on the famous circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.  The cars of the TEAM exodus were announced like the outsiders with the long teeth for this edition.  Two cars out of the three were engaged, the 65 and 360, both equipped with famous engine TDI Bluemotion.  They had thus very to be with the SIGNAL even the pilots. ; -)

Indeed, the 360 was taken along by Niels Lagrange (www.niels-lagrange.be).  After having been very good during the tests, the weather remained nothing any more but one thing to be made, to keep it on the circuit….  All occurred very well for the car from the TEAM which travelled between 3rd and the 5th place at the rate/rhythm from the stops to take on board copilots.  Whereas it had already 22 stops against 18 for the majority of the other teams, small a touchette with the back actuated the car in a head with tail.  François Godard, controls of the 183 unfortunately did not know anything to make to avoid it.  Result: return on the breakdown truck with radiator burst as well as the nose gear.  The 25 hours were finished for our young very dynamic team.

As for the 65, left the 35ième place, Arnaud knew to avoid the traps of the first turns and was in the leading bunch.  The strategic stop for the full one with diesel after 1 hour of race made it plunge in the classification in the 90ième place but that was going to be rectified as soon as the other teams were going to stop with the pump.  Indeed, after two hours of race, the 65 was in 21st position is the logical position of the TEAM, reinforced this time by the arrival of Reiner Weisshaupt and Nicolas Duculot.  The hours were followed and resembled each other for the holders of the 65 until the moment when it started to rain.  As much of other teams, the 65 was not saved by problems of essuie ice and not had to return in the stands to 3 recoveries.  Whereas the mechanics thought that the problem came from the engines, Jean-Michel Boucha responsible for Ball Vents, detected the breakdown: a poor contact.

This poor contact was expensive the 65 which penalized by more than 50 minutes in the stands tumbled down in the classification to finish in the 61ième place.

Exodus seeks pilot for 25 hours VW Fun Cup 09

The TEAM exodus seeks pilots to supplement its crews for the 25 hours VW Fun Cup 2009.

Pilots with or without experiment to roll on car 59, been driven by an engine gasoline, completely revised for the 25 hours.  This car finished 3rd Sunday at the time of the race of Zolder in 2009.

Pilots experienced to roll on car 65 been driven by an engine TDI with limps revised, new engine, completely re-installed at the beginning of 2009 (thus made three races).

Semi season 2009 VW Fun Cup

Us here already at the semi season after Gordon Zolder Festival.  That the time passes quickly but where is really the TEAM Exodus.

Let us start with the 59.  Rented twice this season with TEAM GT3RS taken along by Niels Lagrange (www.niels-lagrange.be), they could very quickly overcome their mountings by threading the turns in a constant way.  At the time of the third handle in Zolder, the pilots showed what the 59 really had in the belly by finishing third of the classification gasoline Sunday.  Still of beautiful hours in prospect for this fast but especially reliable car.

With regard to the 65, Arnaud had some difficulties of adapting with the TDI to Zolder at the time of the day of Saturday.  Some exit ramps were with the day order.  While Bruno and Marc tried to limit breakage, the 65 finished 27 ième at the time of the day of Saturday.  Sunday, Arnaud took the departure on a track wet to go back to the 20th position.  Bruno and Marc stabilized the position by threading many fast towers. When Arnaud took again the wheel, it could thanks to the assistance of its fellow-members still gone up until the 13th place.  Position to which the TEAM finished its day of Sunday.  With general classification, one should see the 65 with the 12th position.

The 360 as for it was seen cut down by a pilot, Pascal Dubuc being absent for the occasion.  It nevertheless was done replaced by Jerome Demasy for whom was the first race in the VW fun cup.  The brawl was hard beginning with the end.  The 360 finished 5th at the time of the day of Saturday and first Sunday.  What was worth the honor to him to go up on the third handle of the podium.  Still of many points collected at the time of this race.  That makes it possible the TEAM of the 360 to be second with general classification.  Nothing is still played and one will need many aggressivenesses and tenacities to dislodge the TEAM Vroom.be of the 331.

The second Pascal of the TEAM exodus.  Not always easy to put its large legs in a VW fun cup but when it is behind its flying, he becomes a frightening pilot.  Its speed and its reliability make of him a very good pilot of endurance but especially an excellent fellow-member.  He runs this year on the 316.

Pascal Dubuc

Pascal works in an office of architect during the week.  Its Cartesian spirit and the love of the figures takes the top even during the weekend of race.  In 2010, calculation will be simple for him, to gain a place with the championship to finish on more the high step of the podium.  This is why, it manages the technical sides and tactics of VW two-seater Fun Cup TDI n°316 during the races.
