The 25 hours VW fun cup had miles last on July 11 on the famous circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.  The cars of the TEAM exodus were announced like the outsiders with the long teeth for this edition.  Two cars out of the three were engaged, the 65 and 360, both equipped with famous engine TDI Bluemotion.  They had thus very to be with the SIGNAL even the pilots. ; -)

Indeed, the 360 was taken along by Niels Lagrange (www.niels-lagrange.be).  After having been very good during the tests, the weather remained nothing any more but one thing to be made, to keep it on the circuit….  All occurred very well for the car from the TEAM which travelled between 3rd and the 5th place at the rate/rhythm from the stops to take on board copilots.  Whereas it had already 22 stops against 18 for the majority of the other teams, small a touchette with the back actuated the car in a head with tail.  François Godard, controls of the 183 unfortunately did not know anything to make to avoid it.  Result: return on the breakdown truck with radiator burst as well as the nose gear.  The 25 hours were finished for our young very dynamic team.

As for the 65, left the 35ième place, Arnaud knew to avoid the traps of the first turns and was in the leading bunch.  The strategic stop for the full one with diesel after 1 hour of race made it plunge in the classification in the 90ième place but that was going to be rectified as soon as the other teams were going to stop with the pump.  Indeed, after two hours of race, the 65 was in 21st position is the logical position of the TEAM, reinforced this time by the arrival of Reiner Weisshaupt and Nicolas Duculot.  The hours were followed and resembled each other for the holders of the 65 until the moment when it started to rain.  As much of other teams, the 65 was not saved by problems of essuie ice and not had to return in the stands to 3 recoveries.  Whereas the mechanics thought that the problem came from the engines, Jean-Michel Boucha responsible for Ball Vents, detected the breakdown: a poor contact.

This poor contact was expensive the 65 which penalized by more than 50 minutes in the stands tumbled down in the classification to finish in the 61ième place.

It is promised, one will do the next time best

Last weekend took place the first sleeve of VW Fun Cup of the championship of Belgium with the arrival of engine TDI Blue Motion.

Our TEAM put in track for the occasion these three Fun Cup (59 that you know, 65 who is equipped with a two-seater TDI and it 360, it also in TDI).

VW fun Cup 65 controlled by Bruno, Marc and Arnaud carried out a good time with the tests and was going to be in the 3rd place on the starting grid.

After a difficult departure, the 65 was going to fight during one hour with the 129 of Pierre Piron. At the end of the first three hours of race, it was in the 11th place.

The next morning, Marc was going to take the orders of his mounting. After three hours of baited fight, the 65 finished with the twelfth places at the general classification and the 10th place of the TDI.

59, controlled for the occasion by Niels Lagrange (www.niels-lagrange.be), Pascal Vanelderen and Dylan. Niels which was not with its first attempt, placed the very high bar by putting the 59 at the fourth place of the classification gasoline.

Unfortunately for the team, a gasoline breakdown in the last tower of the first sleeve their made lose some places with general classification. The second day, Niels taken the front while trying to go up.

What it did with hands of Master. Dylan, as for him improved its times with the turn while Pascal had a light fixing in the last minutes of the second handle.

The 360 is controlled by Pascal Eeckout, Pascal Dubuc, Ronnie Jorquera and Reiner Weisshaupt.  The four pilots are very fast and constant.

After having taken some passengers for a baptism Fun Cup, they were allowed to go more quickly than certain single-seat TDI.  Thanks to their talent, they hoisted the 360 on the third walk of the podium of the two-seater classification just behind the fun cup Radio Contact and Vroom of Eric Spitzer.

The latter aim at the title but the 360 will be there to give them wire to retordre

The last sleeve of the championship of Belgium took place in Germany.  The latter sleeve, which was also the sleeve of world cup of VW Fun Cup took place on the famous circuit of Nürburgring.

The meeting of tests qualificative began Friday with 16:30.  A few minutes after the departure, we did not roll any more but in the light of the headlights.  Not easy to control our machines in the black on a circuit which one does not know!  After one hour of tests, the fog joined the race!  At the end of the qualificative sleeve, we were 48ième on 83 committed.

We went, Bruno, Antonio Ferramacho and Arnaud Quédé, begun in the second group.  The next morning, it is Arnaud who took the departure on a wet track.  It attacked as of the first turns to go up few places before leaving the Bruno Magal wheel.  This one also went up after a battle baited against the tenors.  For the occasion, many crews had engaged of famous pilots.  Some famous names: Low Leenders, Pierre-Yves Corthals and I pass from there…

Antonio, as for him, to confirm that the car healthy and was balanced while being as fast as us!  

Leaving this time in the first group for the second handle, the battle was hard because the variations were very tight.  More than one about fifteen cars were in the same turn as us! 

And it is in the light of the lamps, that we finished this second sleeve in the 35ième place.

Race of Fun Cup Francorchampagne

78 cars were at the beginning of this race which counted for the championship Belgian Fun Cup but also for the German championship.

Many of other countries were represented such as France but also England!

The goal being to prepare the sleeve of world cup which will take place in Nurburgring on October 31 and November 1!

Valerie Theuwissen took seat in the bucket of the 59.

This young 20 year old pilot only to the practice to take share with the championship of Formula Renault 1.6

For once the drawing lot was not bad.

On the basis of the 34 ième place, we are gone down again to the 40 ième place following an accident on the road!

But gradually as with his practice, Bruno Magal went up in the classification.

Although Valerie rolled less quickly than the others pilot, we did not lose many places.

The third relay of Arnaud Quédé, also made it possible to go up but especially to be stabilized in the classification.

After 6 hours of race, the car of the TEAM exodus passed the flag to checkerwork to the 26 ième place.

Results Fun cup 2008 in Colmar Berg Luxembourg

6 weeks after the 25 hours, VW Fun Cup unloaded in Luxembourg.

In connection with the circuit Colmar Berg Luxembourg:

Small layout a 2925 meters length, on the test track of Goodyear, the circuit Colmar Berg is distinguished from the other circuits by its many turns without end.

The challenge was of size for the TEAM Exodus.

After good performances at the 25 hours, we were to prove that the car was well prepared and that we were ready to face largest funcupiens.

After good times carried out with the tests, we knew that we would be in the second hat for the drawing lot!

This time still, this one was not in our favour.

We began before the last from the single-seaters (either with the 33ième position).

Course of the test Fun Cup, Exodus:

After a good departure, taken by Arnaud Quédé, it went up slowly but surely the group.

After the first hour of race, Fun Cup d' Exodus was in 22nd place.

Fast changes of pilot and a race without mechanical problems, enabled us to exceed other teams in general swifter than us.

Bruno Magal ensured his relays while being constant beginning with the end and by posting his best time some towers of the end.

Results of the TEAM Exodus:

After the 6 hours of race, Bruno Bruno Magal crossed the finishing line in the 14th place, that is to say our best performance of the season.

This result enables us to climb some steps with general classification while passing from 32ième in the 25ième place of the championship VW Fun Cup.

Thanks to this race, we are fine loans and especially motivated in the francorchampagnes, on September 20 next.

Results 25 hours VW Fun Cup, 2008

Our car was controlled for the occasion by Gianluca Di Sario (our Suisse pilot) and by Niels Lagrange (young 17 years Flemish pilot).

Very happened very well during the tests in spite of the beating rain.

Unfortunately, we could not carry out the time hoped on this softened track.

What placed us at the 124 ième place on the starting grid.

Bruno Magal took the departure to go back to the 59 ième position after the first hour of race.

An excellent tactic even enabled us to point to the 24 ième place after only two hours of race!

An exploit in Fun Cup!

Niels Lagrange which took the third relay controlled with accuracy the fun cup 59 before our Swiss pilot, which discovered for the first time a fun cup, does not make his first weapons.

During the night, whereas we all were impressed by the obscure black, Niels, our pilot of last minute, turned in same times as in full day.

It's a pity that the payment does not enable him to make all the night.

In the small hour, Arnaud Quédé takes again the wheel to start an increase again.

Niels, Bruno and Gianluca encased the step to him to finish this the 25 hour old edition VW fun cup 2008 with the 39ième position.
